Instead, we took it down to the studs while living in it with our then 3 boys plus all the raccoons in the attic. After years of renovations done mainly ourselves, we can finally appreciate all the years of utter chaos. Oh, and I grew up in Orange County, California and relocated here after college because we could get granite in a new build for $200K. Shhh - -that was a long time ago...
