You have the opportunity to apply for up to two committees in October and November for the following year. Until then, take a look at the list below and see where you believe you fit in best. You are invited to be a non-voting member at the meetings. It’s as simple as making note of meeting times, dates, and location and just show up. We would love to have you at the table!

Collaboration of Independent Brokers (CIB) — The CIB platform encompasses several key objectives to include networking and support to share insights, best practices, and resources. CIB shares tools and industry resources that can benefit independent brokers in streamlining their operations and improving client service. CIB encourages community involvement among independent brokers, supporting local causes and initiatives to give back to the community they serve. By focusing on these areas, the Collaboration of Independent Brokers can create a supportive and empowering environment for its members, enabling them to thrive in their businesses while maintaining their independence.
Meetings: Fourth Thursday of the month, 11:30 a.m.—1:00 p.m. at PPAR Conference Room

Community Relations Committee — the primary goal of this Committee is to foster positive relationships between the association and the local community, as well as support community initiatives related to housing needs. The committee organized volunteer efforts and serve projects to directly support community groups that help with housing needs. This vibrant group actively supports projects such as Springs Rescue Mission, Habitat for Humanity Build Day and work in reStore Day, Holiday Food Baskets, Parade of Lights, and adopting a child in the foster system to get items on their wish list.

Public Policy Committee — This Committee is dedicated to advancing the interest of the real estate industry and property owners alike. We actively promote fair housing practices, safeguard private property rights, and cultivate an environment conducive to economic growth and prosperity for all. The committee plays a pivotal role in monitoring local, state, and federal policies that impact private property rights and other critical aspect of the real estate business. Stay informed and empowered as we track legislation, regulations, and initiatives that shape the landscape of our industry. At PPAR, we are committed to advocating for policies that empower Americans to own, buy, and sel real property with confidence and security. Join us in our mission to strengthen the foundation of our industry and protect the private property rights for all.

REALTAC Forum — This diverse audience of real estate professionals, including REALTORS, lenders, title company representatives, appraisers, and others in various sectors of the real estate industry come together, exchange ideas, and build valuable relationships. They have diverse perspectives and expertise represented within this forum which enriches discussions and fosters innovative solutions. They discuss current trends, challenges and opportunities within the real estate industry and participants gain valuable insights into market dynamics, regulatory changes, emerging technologies, and consumer preferences, enabling them to stay ahead of the curve and make informed decisions.

Volunteer REALTOR® Program (VRP) — PPAR is proud of this group of members who understand and are trained on the unique challenges that military members and their families face when it comes to finding suitable housing during relocations or deployments. VRP members assist Fort Carson members in meeting their housing needs with the expertise and compassion they deserve. VRP members serve on base in two-hour shifts but need to be trained. Young Professional Network (YPN) — Are you eager to forge meaningful connections, propel your career forward, and leave a positive mark on both your industry and community? Look no further than PPAR’s YPN group. YPN is a resource designed to empower your real estate practitioners—whether you are seeking to expand your network, enhance your skills, or make a difference, YPN provides a platform and support your need to thrive. Though regular networking events, YPN fosters invaluable peer-to-peer connections, offering you the opportunity to exchange insights, strategies, and best practices with follow professionals. Stay informed and inspired by engaging with members, sharing invaluable tips, and uncovering industry secrets. But YPN isn’t just about professional development-it’s also about giving back. We proudly support community relations efforts by partnering with organizations like Habit for Humanity, contributing our time, resources, and fundraising efforts to make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.
